They clearly only had a superficial understanding of The Bell Curve, if they had even bothered to read it at all -- that certainly doesn't' appear to be the case. Otherwise, they wouldn't assert that the IQ gap is "genetic" or "environmental" in the binary sense that this picture seems to be indicating.

Anybody with an IQ above their body temperature understands that both genetics and environment contribute to IQ, and this is the (very mild) claim that The Bell Curve made. What a childish attempt at a rebuttal.

IQ tests are what is referred to as "g-loaded," meaning they correlate strongly with raw intelligence, "g." Of course no measurement tool is exact. Stating that IQ is useless because it cannot measure g in exact terms is like saying a yard-stick is useless because it cannot provide length in terms of picometers.
