For reactors in general, yes. For LWRs specifically, not as much. LWRs are definitely a lot safer now but there are still other reactors that are more efficient and safer but aren't as attractive because of start-up costs and the fact that you're likely using a fuel that's less documented or less common.

So, do people not know that there is more than just the Light Water design? LFTRs need more attention.
