I asked for help on this yesterday received a reply and attempted but still failed,
Its from the stewarts calculus book It's not homework something I'm just doing because I want to eventually go to uni (just want to be prepared.)
the problem is:
Solve the expression. Write your answer without using negative exponents.
(3x^(3/2)y^3/x^2y^(-1/2))^(-2)
I don't want the answer I'd just like to know how to start this thing I'm sure I'm missing something when attempting to solve (probably a brain.)

Sup /sci/.
First of all, bear with me; I'm currently in the part of my education that equals to the American high school.
Second of all, this is not a request asking you to solve my homework (It's not even homework). I already know the answer, I simply want to know if there is a less tedious way of solving the problem.

You have 3 tetrahedra, each one functioning as a dice with the possible outcomes 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Alright - 64 possible outcomes.

The problem is: "What is the probability that the sum of the outcomes will equal 7 when throwing three tetrahedra?"
The answer I got was 3/16 - but it annoys me deeply that I wasn't able to actually find an actual mathematical way of solving in; I simply "guessed".

So /sci/, is there a purely mathematical and logical way to solve this?

Guys please help. Mathfag here trying to figure out this equation. We have it for homework here in eleventh grade.
cotgA=1
Pi<a<3Pi/2 This means its in 3rd quadrant.
We have to find sinA and cosA
So the formula I was directed to use was cosA=1/sqrt(1-tg^2)
But I can't manage it to the end... the answer as shown in the mathbook is:
-sinA=-cosA=srt(2)/2
Please guys. Just this once and show me your algorithm because I have 10 more of this fuckers.
