Without the legislation here is the scenario.

>You apply for a job, apartment, loan, whathaveyou.
>Since you have had genetic testing then you may be asked to disclose said information as part of your application.
>If the organization wants to be more aggressive then they may even require others to undergo genetic testing.

I recently attended a talk with the privacy commissioner of my province, they talked about this issue. Basically the people who are most fucked without this law are all the fucking dipshits on /pol/ who fall for memes like genetic testing. It's possible that that shit may violate other laws in Canada anyways but they can't really do shit until someone files a complaint against a company trying to pull this shit.
