Long story short, I kinda want to know if there is a piece of tech which allows us to pin point a specific atom and "pick it up" and store it on its own.

For the sake of the situation, let's say that this atom is totally different from all the other ones, so identification of the differences would be super obvious.

I feel as it this is a thing, but I also don't know and googling it gives me results about storying data in an atom, which is not what I want.

Any ideas? (Sorry for being dumb if this is obvious as hell)
