/sci/ - Science & Math

Hey /sci/, I am debating whether or not I should go into a MD/PhD program or medical school for neuroscience or psychiatry. If I end up with Psychiatry, there is a larger variety of top schools as options than with Neuroscience as well as a more defined job outlook. I am hoping that if I go with Psychiatry and get an MD/PhD, I will be able to see patients while still participating in current research, plus the added bonus of less debt due to stipends and whatnot.
Are any of you guys in MD/PhD programs, and if so, how do you like it/what are your personal favorite/least favorite parts of the program?

Its arbitrary, consensus based wankery.
Having said that, it can be somewhat useful (most is garbage though).
Its morally questionable how people and especially kids are being drugged as a consequence of peoples perception that it is a precise science (when its not really science at all).
