I honestly have no idea where to put this, as 4chan has no direct "Education" board, but you seem like the cloest equivalent. I'm doing some research for my own personal gain right now, and need to know something.

When I was a kid, my elementary school ran an odd calendar year. Instead of a summer break at the beginning of the year, we were divided to four "Blocks" of students.

Group A, B, C, D. Only three of these blocks were ever currently schooled at once. We also all got like a month in june off for various shit. This seems like a Year-Round schedule, but the block system throws me off. Is there a technical term for this sort of school year, or a place I can figure out more shit about it?
