Let me give you a real answer OP. First of all I have no fucking clue what video games have to do with anything, but in the real universe, this is the biggest scientific breakthrough since Einstein's discovery of general relativity. Consider this:
We have found an exchange particle which is said to allow other particles to attain mass. If we have found out how particles gain mass, than maybe sooner or later we will find out how to take that mass away. You've heard of E=mc^2 right? The energy required to accelerate a particle to the speed of light is infinite so long as the particle has the tiniest fraction of mass. It's impossible. Yet we can accelerate particles without mass to the speed of light. In fact, there are photons hitting your retinas right now at the speed of light because they have no mass, yet you can still physically observe them can't you?

Fortunately, you're wrong, because the free market doesn't actually work like that. There is unimaginable demand for a product such as this, and the sooner pharmaceutical companies make this affordable to most people in the public the faster they make the most money. It won't be that expensive to synthesize a drug to do the necessary shit to extend lifespans 100 years, the main hard part is knowing what to actually use.

And if they don't they'll have millions of very angry aging people showing up to their doorsteps with leaked facts of the actual cost for producing and distributing the drug. Unless it contains 20 pounds of gold it won't be rightfully expensive.
tl;dr the pharm companies earn more money with more people buying it
