What THEY pass off as "regression to the mean" is actually a mixture of the gambler's fallacy, a selection bias, and begging the question, concocted to deal a key embarrassment to their theory: the existence of high-achieving black families.
They presuppose their "mean" is correct, even though so much of the data has already been shown to be fraudulent and politicized by segregationists and eugenicists who, of course, invariably belong to the "superior" group.
There's also a contradiction (which you pointed out) -- how on earth did intelligence ever evolve in the first place, if it should converge on the mean intelligence of the ancestors?
Their group definitions are completely arbitrary. The faggot you responded to wants to be considered part of the "caucasian from the suburbs" group. What if instead we lumped him into a "/pol/ poster" group (strongly correlated with reduced intelligence) and then argue that his offspring's IQ will certainly regress towards that mean, would he buy it?
