No matter what field you're in, you can benefit from learning about vibrations, normal modes, and waves.

These concepts span literally everything, are fundamental to modern technology, and encompass beautiful math (eigenvalue problems, etc.).

I started with the vibrations section of Goldstein... Anyone have better or more in depth books?
