So V*rgin Galactic just unveiled their render of a supersonic commercial jet. My first thought is that it's either never going to get built or it's a decade away, but even if they build it I'm struggling to see how it can be profitable with such high costs per seat.

It has capacity for 9 to 19 people, the Concorde could fit 92 to 128 people. It's faster than the Concorde but that also means it's going to be louder so there's going to be even more outrage when it flies over land. This screams investor fodder, Branson has already started selling his SPCE shares to fund other parts of Virgin.
