Implications that are in direct opposition to any sort of terraformation of any kind.
Here is my rebuttal:
Vitality and morality often clash with one another, but failure to realize the origin of morality creates a facile misunderstanding of what life is. Ethical implications on the issue of terraformation are somewhat illogical due to their appeal towards universal morality. Moral values are creation of man, there is no natural law that dictates who is right and who is wrong. The very idea of good and evil is a social construct created by man in order to organize itself to be more efficient at survival. In that sense the very premise of debasing human right to survive no matter the consequences is completely inane and should be reconsidered when survival of our own species is at stake. Not to undervalue the importance of natural balance and human interaction with it; it is impossible to build an argument where life of human civilization can be destroyed for the salvation of other species on the basis of “universal good”.

PS Yep, still writing the damn research paper.

1) Send people to Mars for research.
2) Keep them supplied using solar sail shipments.
3) Convert solar sails into solar mirrors in the Lagrange points.
4) Sit back and let runaway warming do its thing.

Say that, all habitable planets are colonized, all intelligent species have made alliances, absolutely peaceful universe, and war is a reminder of a barbaric past. And universes nearby have also been explored, what is their left to do besides wait for universe comploding? Trying to make contact with God? Say fuck it and nuke everything just for fun? what?

So...after its been done, what will the geography be like? Will there be islands? Will the be nations, do you think? I'm more interested in the anthropological side of it.
