They should use the PROVEN and AMERICAN AEROJECT RS-25. The raptor is an UNRELIABLE and FOREIGN design yet SpaceX, I should emphasize is a FOREIGN company, is willingly choosing an unsafe engine for their rockets to fly people on. People who can be INNOCENT AMERICANS! SpaceX should be NATIONALIZED immediately to save PRECIOUS AMERICAN LIVES.

Not if I have anything to say about it! And I do!

Strange. That doesn't look like the SPACE SHUTTLE RS-25, a real AMERICAN engine. Not this FOREIGN engine. The RS-25, which is HAND CRAFTED by true AMERICAN hands, uses clean and POWERFUL hydrogen as a fuel rather than DIRTY methane. Let us be honest again, the next AMERICAN rocket on AMERICAN soil which will carry AMERICAN astronauts will be the SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM (pbui). Anyone who actually pays attention to these things will now the power disparity between those engines. The AMERICAN SLS (pbui) only needs four powerful RS-25, meanwhile the weak FOREIGN "spaceship" needs over 30 "raptors".

It is clear that SpaceX can not handle what it takes to push space flight beyond its boundaries. I propose that we nationalize this dangerous FOREIGN company before it kills more AMERICANS, or worse more AMERICAN JOBS.

I would like to personally congratulate the ULA marine sni- err I mean the amazing ULA aerospace engineers stationed at HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA for keeping AMERICAN space flight AMERICAN. Meanwhile SpaceX, which I should add was started by a FOREIGNER, just had another tragic rocket failure. Fortunately there were no AMERICANS on it, but what there were? SpaceX would've just killed AMERICANS. I cannot and WILL NOT let this stand. I will ensure that AMERICAN space flight is kept AMERICAN and SAFE.

And have a finely crafted AMERICAN capsule touch a filthy REUSABLE FOREIGN rocket? NO WAY! How DARE you think about tainting proud AMERICAN spaceflight!

I just don't understand this Congressman meme.

The amount of money you can save from reusing Congressmen isn’t enough to justify how much harder it makes it to complete the difficult filibusters that actually make money in the federal world. I’m sure one day reusability will be more effective, but the truth is that when you have all the challenges that come with political science in general, it’s almost always much more effective to throw away the Congressman after it’s done its job than to figure out how to make recovery part of the mission. I know of no major technology on the near term horizon that would change that.

And even if reusable Congressmen are possible now, when reliability is THE number one priority (in this case bribes takes up 2/3rds of the lawmaking cost and the actual law only 1/3rd) it makes absolutely no sense. Like, look at this man (pic related). This represents some of the most advanced technologies in the political world. Do you honestly think that such a complicated machine can be made tough and reliable enough to be reusable? I doubt it. Best example in my opinion is condoms, sure you could reuse them but making sure that they do not suffer a drop in reliability will cost a lot of money and time.

Just because some company made reusing Congressmen popular, then that doesn't mean that we will have the sci-fi future of millions of laws per year. We'll be lucky to see more than a couple dozen per year. Dial down your expectations, don't buy into the reusability for Congressman meme.
