Oh boy... you must not know a lot about the CCP internal politics. There are multiple factions in the party with their own interests and they are all trying to purge each other. There is no true consensus within the party about how to establish a long-term code for the country. Some factions want a return to Mao's hardcore communist. Some party members want to go full capitalist while retaining a dictatorship. And then you have hardliners like Xi Jinping that want to focus on military instead and abandon the economic focus China has had since 1978. Xi Jinping purged away most of the capitalist members with "anti-corruption" charges and is now building up Chinese military but it's severely impacting the Chinese economy which is starting to crumble and is experiencing the very first recession in 40 years right now which is a threat to stability.

China needed to enact the point system and concentration camps for minorities like the Uyghurs in Xinjiang because the economy is failing and people are starting to rebel and starting to blame the CCP.

You don't know because protests are usually censored so that China project a false sense of stability to its citizens as well as the international media but the political prisons are so full that China is actually building new ones with satellite proof for the first time since the death of Mao Sedong. Yes you are hearing that right China is now arresting more people than during the cultural revolution of Mao THAT is how unstable China actually is. It shouldn't surprise you if we were to find out there were large scale rebellions going on in the interior of China like USSR 1991.

However nowadays due to the Rise of China and the rebuilding of Russia these countries are trying to push the OPPOSITE narrative. As if mass immigration is a bad thing that is damaging the white race. Our politicians can't publicly tell the truth that it's a means to keep the west as the rulers of the world because we need to keep the illusion we are doing it for altruistic reasons instead of geopolitical ones. China and Russia exploits this severely by tricking white nationalists for fighting against their own countries which is very ironic.

I recommend you watch geopolitical videos like this one to better understand this mindset. Feel free to ask if you have more questions because a lot of people. Especially young racists on 4chan have the absolute wrong idea about things like migration and how of an effective tool of control it actually is.

I live in an "extreme" social democracy. We have 0 homeless people since the state gives everyone the right for shelter and an income. You have a constitutional right for income from the state which is about $2000 a month and a house given to you with rent paid by the government. University is free to attend. And you have right to something called "free shopping" which are shops mandated by the state that offer their products for free without a stamp system you just grab what you want and "pay" with your ID. There is no currency or limitation to what you buy. They ask for the ID simply to ensure people don't abuse it by taking 50 coats and selling them on a black market or something.

I fucking love my country because even though I was born in a very poor family (Single drug neglecting drug addict mother) I was still able to have a normal childhood and the state gave me full opportunity to develop as a normal human being with all intellectual stimulus I needed to eventually become an engineer.

Now comes the bad part of the story. We need to pay 54% of our income to the state. Then from what's left an extra ~10% gets taken by mandatory Health insurance. Then I need to pay environmental taxes which is just 5% of what's left but it's still something. Then every time I buy a product in store there's a 23% value added tax on top of it.

I still have about $5000 a month left. But my girlfriend which is just a normal kindergarten employee makes about $3600 a month. And my unemployed friend makes $2000. On one side it feels like a lot of my money gets stolen and that you don't see the benefit of your hard work. But on the other side I absolutely love that everyone is happy and can have a life without any stress. Everyone can have a good life no matter if you work or not. You never have to worry about starving and there is no sense of disunity/income disparity.

It's absolutely not a fix for environmental decay and is just heavily taxed capitalism, though.

Can anyone here comment on how they enjoy nursing, pathology assistant, medical imaging tech or medical lab work? Really any healthcare profession they're involved in.

Finished my undergrad and started working on my med app by boosting extracurriculars and studying for the MCAT. Began hating myself and felt disingenuous/depressed for spending time on things I didn't earnestly enjoy for the sake of a good application. On top of that the length of schooling required is becoming less feasible for personal reasons. Feeling pretty shitty right now. I still really wanna help people in this field if possible so I'm just looking at alternatives.
