Even in nature/science half the articles I read I can tell the person is ESL and throwing a bunch of fancy sounding words together instead of explaining things clearly and concisely. I hate so much about the way modern articles are written. At least unis seem to be discouraging it these days.

It looks like what you are doing is exactly what i described where your kernel function k(x,y) is 1 when |x-y|<delta and 0 otherwise. you seem to have also failed to mention, that you devide the result by 2delta or else the resulting function should go to 0 as delta goes to zero.

Are politics influenced by society's values? Because politics define both the legal framework hard science can function in, and determine a huge amount of fund distribution. Not to mention all of society's values that have been instilled in all the researchers as they grew up.
