Literally the most aesthetic notation in mathematics.

I'm going into my 1st year of university. Should I take Calc 3 or Linear algebra my first semester, or should I take both?

What should I know before I go hopping into multivariable calculus? I am pretty familiar with integral and differential calculus, and I know how double and triple integrals work. What else should I know and what sources can I use to best help me?

Hey /sci/,

Going through Multivariable Calculus this semester (Calculus III), and at the moment we're doing vectors.

I went through two Physics classes (Kinematics to Fluid Dynamics and then Electricity, Electromagnetism and then Light) before doing this class, and I'm thinking to myself, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY TEACH VECTORS AND VECTOR CALCULUS BEFORE PHYSICS?

Learning these topics in Calculus III would of made my Physics classes WAY easier, instead of working out tedious algebra.

God damn...

So, my professor said that he could mathematically prove to us that 1 + 1 = 3.

How does one do this illogical equation using mathematics?
