I'd say it's the people that get hyped by things like google, apple, or even microsoft, and then associate CS with things like programming, web dev, video games, IT and tech support. You then get people that get overhyped by this and decide to get a CS degree just to get a job in those areas and (usually, not always) whine about having to take math, when they could have gotten the skills they seek by just taking a trade or a bootcamp.

CS as an academic discipline is really interesting and it's really useful, just don't get meme'd and think it is "programming" or "IT".
