Need some advice from a /sci/entist or two.

I'm 23..live with grandmother, havea full-time job making $11 an hour with the possibility of making more and moving up in an extremely comfortable job.

That being said...I have a yearning to study Physics. As well all I know..the full path for that is anywhere from 8-12 years as I don't have any college credits to my name.

Anyone here in similar boat or possibly already pursuing what they want despite having a lackluster financial situation?

I'm not really sure how long I can stay with my relative, and if I can't...how I'll afford to live anywhere else while obtaining a Physics degree full-time.

tl;dr - How can I pursue Physics with so many roadblocks in front of me?

Don't worry people-who-dislike-corporate-shenanigans, TRS/molecular assemblers will come soon enough.

Make sure anyone who narrates it does a Sagan-voice.

I believe the Singularity is bullshit. However, it now seems to be that aging actually isn't that hard to cure. It's only been recently that we've actually even started looking into it seriously using modern science etc.

And firstly it will be very expensive, but over a decade it will go down in price TREMENDOUSLY. It is more profitable for pharmaceutical companies to make it affordable to the most people possible.
If it's 'too expensive' then I honestly will be really surprised. And many, many pissed off aging people will be rocking up to these places most likely with crowbars demanding lower/subsidized prices for it. Could you imagine the shitstorm today if a CURE FOR AGING came out on the market? Never look a day older than 22....

What is the difference between Astronomy and Astrophysics?

I found a school that offers a Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics and I am very interested in it.

That being said..I need to know the difference when it comes to the PhD level.

/sci/.

Enough trolling for now.

I have an important question for you.

Do you think we have a chance? Humanity, that is?
