The other day I was having a discussion with some friends about the probability of life in other planets, should the universe be infinite. My friends said that, should the universe be infinite, there should be life in other planets. Then they backed this up with mathematical "proof": they said that a given galaxy had a probability of having a planet with life, and since we are assuming the universe is infinite, this probability should tend to infinity. I think I successfully refuted this, but before I give my argument, does my friends' argument make sense?

Pic unrelated

Yes chess can be solve. The are a finite number of outcomes, and it only takes 1 algorithm to have 100% success rate. White would always win.

Yes the will take a ghastly amount of time, but if you're smart enough to know realize the reality, you should be content with recognizing the situation. Chess is not a game, it's a puzzle.

ITT: Noone knows what evolution is.

Evolution is a change in allele frequencies of a trait in a population. That's it.
