Why do brainlets think "we do know know what this is" means "we know exactly what this object is and it's aliens"?

So often they try to frame these threads so that the only options are either the video is faked or we need to prove specifically what it's showing or else it MUST be aliens, when really there's absolutely no reason to think it has anything to do with aliens.

Do these people blame everything they don't instantly have an explanation for on aliens? When somebody leaves the toilet seat up when they go to take a dump do they think "I bet the aliens did this!"?

Imagine the series 1+1+1+1+1... repeating forever

if you subtracted it from itself, it would obviously be zero so
(1+1+1+1...) - (1+1+1+1...) = 0

now, since this is an infinite series, if you add it to itself, you're just extending the infinite function so the answer is the same, it's the same as cutting the original number set in half
(1+1+1+1...) = (1+1+1+1...) + (1+1+1+1...)

so, what is the answer to the question
(1+1+1+1...) + (1+1+1+1...) - (1+1+1+1...) = ?

is it zero or infinity
