So /sci/ I'm here to get this off my mind once and for all, it's been bothering me.
In my neuroscience class we were studying the pathway for "liking" things. When you "like" something you release dopamine. The release of dopamine is also what causes you to "like" something. I thought about it a bit and it seems like cyclical logic, you need dopamine to "like" something and yet it's only released when you are presented with something you "like". So what makes the decision whether or not to release dopamine so you can "like" something? (like in apostrophes is to be taken in the most general term)
