When it comes to intelligence, does hard work make any difference?
There have been plenty of studies where two twins are separated at birth, one sent to a poor family, the other to a rich family. Keep in mind money is one of the most deciding factors of someone's intelligence, usually measured as IQ. And despite clear differences in terms of knowledge held by each twin, later testing reveals that their intelligence is practically the same.
This even disproves the theory that through hard work you can influence the genes that are activated.
What is bottom line, /sci/?
