Hello /sci/ /v/irgin fa/tg/uy here. I have a statement and I would really like to get real answer to it. I tried asking other boards but they just assumed troll and then it was a shitpile from there. Anyway here goes:

"People have killed and do kill for the sake of religion even today but it is like that in every instance of value system. People have bombed, terrorized, killed and led wars over both religion, socialism, liberalism, communism and every single other ethos you can imagine.

The problem is not religion or ethics or political standing but rather the irrational extremism that value systems produce. Even if you do not agree with them, anyone who believes that the world should be viewed upon with objective eyes should also understand that other people have other views and thus accept other people. This also goes for religius people - just as it should with aethists.

So when you as an "aethist" try and bash religion as "stupid", "violent" and archaeic in any form, you are in fact just as bad and annoying as the religious people who try and convert you. Even if you think of yourself as enlightend or more intelligent, you are in fact just as unintelligent, annoying and provocative as the people you accuse of just those traits.

If you ever bashed other people based on their personal believes you are just as bad as what you think they are. Concluding, I regred to inform you that you are excately what you hate about religion."
