So take a look at this graph right here. You might notice that as the function (the red curve) goes to the right, it becomes really, really close to the x-axis. Now imagine the red curve stretching on to infinity and you will notice that no matter how high the x value gets, 1/x will never be 0. Why not? Because of the function y=1/x. There is no x value that can make y=0. You can say that the limit, because 1/x can get really, really close but never equal, as x approaches infinity is 0.

I'm so bad at explaining things.
