What else is new?

Our results unequivocally confirm that a substantial proportion of individual differences in human intelligence is due to genetic variation, and are consistent with many genes of small effects underlying the additive genetic influences on intelligence.

yeah most of the people above don't know bout my zeno's paradox.

Although OP fucked it up hardcore.

Bascially, he created a thought experiment to show parmenide's view on the movement.
He 'proved' that it's impossible to move, because before one can go half of the way, one must go 1/4 of the way, but before you go 1/4 you have to go 1/8, and before that you have to go 1/16, and so on and so forth.

So, you can never move because it involves instantaneous transportation violating causality.

because being social is a skill.

It's like playing baseball, if you don't practice at all and try to play in a major league game you are gonna fail hard.

The popular people just practice a lot. They go to parties they make sure they listen to the accepted music, wear the accepted clothes, make sure they are kept up to date on every trivial happening "omfgbbq jen just got bak w/ johnny!", and make it a point of always interacting with people.

Conversely, intelligent people constantly practice studying and reading. They find skimming through wikipedia articles much more enjoyable then shopping at hollister.

Back to the analogy most of the time intelligently people are amateurs trying to play in the major leagues of social interaction.

That's the most I can say...

Ok... I'm actually surprised at the lack of detailed answers.

What most of the /sci/ducks have been saying is true.
Men find attractiveness visually, and there are lots of evolutionary explanations.

Women however just need security and protection.
This is met with access to resources (wealth).
However you this is done before even the first word is spoken.

First the approach, I think in PUA world cold approaches are pretty much frowned upon.
This would agree with studies.

Women generally initiate via eye contact.
You should be wearing one thing or many things that make you stick out (peacock effect).

Then basically there are many techniques during conversation. I'll elaborate in a second post

I don't see the problem here...

I mean, I believe in determinism, but in the category of things believed to be controlled by our psyche I would include homosexuality...

I understand there are genetic preferences involved, as with anything: Not eat poop, Avoid far drops, etc.

But people choose to eat poop and jump of buildings everyday...

So don't come to me with bullshit about how being gay is not a choice.

That said, I'll admit these people didn't go the socially acceptable route of displaying their sentiments.

see I'm big on etymology, so in it's purest sense 'philosophy' or 'the love of knowledge' is very closely related to science.

However, the denotation I think you seemed to imply was that of the more current understanding and usage of philosophy which is essentially a study on ethics and such, which I would not include in the category of a science.

Ritalin (*METH*ylphenidate) is a stimulant. It supposedly treats ADHD/ADD by somehow neurologically activating the brain into being able to pay sustained attention.

It cannot improve your IQ. The child will do better in school because maybe they will be pay attention to the material, rather than being distracted by other things around them

Curious you don't ask about the hyperactivity.

You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Official messages from Omegle will not be sent with the label 'Stranger:'. Strangers claiming to represent Omegle are lying.
You: If you drop a pen on the moon, what happens?
Stranger: it turns it blue
Stranger: or black depending on the color of the pen
You: but, it's original color will change?
You: if dropped, on the moon?
Stranger: the moon will change
You: oh shit!
You have disconnected.
