The chem department for our college has a deadline for submission lab reports which is 4PM a week after your lab session, though it's sort of a college rumor that they automatically knock a fuckton of points off your mark if it's submitted after 12PM of the final day as it looks like you rushed a last minute job.
For a couple of months now I have been cruising along doing the bare minimum for A's and getting them in my lab reports though last week I had the world's greatest demonstrator. Whereas my other demonstrators until now have been soulless cunts doing the job for the money, this guy had a passion for the experiment, aiding and discussing wherever the hell he pleased because fuck he was passionate.
I fucking steamrolled the experiment. Perfect colour of product solution, yield almost as high as the demonstrator's yield when he conducted the experiment. Melting point closest to literature value out of our group, he even showed great joy when I was idly identifying functional groups on the IR spectrum from memory.
I was different for this demonstrator. I usually do a 4 hour report over the weekend, I devoted 3 hours a day for the past week so that I could research every last detail of the experiment, the reactants, the products, the mechanism of the reaction occurring. I wrote the guy 10 pages plus a blibliography in size 8 Arial and submitted it at 3.20PM on the final day.

Grade: E
Positive comments: a professionally extensive knowledge of the experiment.
Areas for improvement: poorly structured. Difficult to read.

Another guy in my group that does the bare minimum got an A.
The fuck?
