Pi = 24? That's just silly.

Can anyone tell me if i did this right?

Let Q be an orthogonal matrix of size n, and let A be a square matrix of size n. Show that:

P(QAQt)=P(A)

that is show the det(xI - QAQt) = det(xI - A)

the hint we got was to show (xI - QAQt) = (Q(xI - A)Qt

I took I * (xI - QAQt) * I -> QQt(xI - QAQt)QQt -> Q(Qt xI - QtQAQt)QQt -> Q(QtQ xI - AQtQ)Qt -> Q(xI - A)Qt

But Im not sure if I followed the commutative rules right. Seems like I might've fudged it a little to make it work. Can anyone tell me if I did it right?
