So I just went to my real analysis class, first meeting of the second semester of a 2-semester course, and when the professor took attendance as is required on the first day one of the names on the roster was Jacob Barnett.

I was like wat, thought it was weird as fuck and almost convinced myself that I had hallucinated the whole thing but then at the end of the class the professor asked if Jacob had showed up, which he obviously didn't because there's like 12 of us in the class.

What is the possible explanation for this phenomenon?

Did someone hack into my school's blackboard system and create a fake student profile referencing an internet meme and register for graduate school classes?

Did Jacob Barnett decide to quit his teaching post at MIT and take a measure theory class at a shit tier state university?

Am I just still too stoned to know what's going on from smoking 3 bowls back to back with no weed tolerance last night?

Are the administrators of my university running a sting operation to enforce the policy this year where professors have to take attendance on the first day and drop students who don't show up from the class?

Am I still lying in bed and this is all a dream and pretty soon it's gonna be 8am and my alarm's gonna go off and I'm going to have to sit through 3 boring lectures for real?
