Is there anyway of analytically showing a correlation between two sets of data? I have two graphs in which it is obvious that one is leading the other then it swaps to the other one leading. Is there a mathematically concise way of defining which one is leading?
Thanks.

Hey guys I need some help with these Trig Identities.

I want to know if there are any easier ways to do these, because I've had a doozy of a time with each of them and they've almost each taken up half a page of work.

1. [1+cos(x)] / sin(x)cos(x) - [1+cos(x)] / sin(x) = tan(x)

2. tan(x) + sec(x) - cos(x) = [sin(x)cos(x)] / [1-sin(x)]

3. [cos^2(x) - 2cos(x) - 3] / sin^2(x) = [cos(x) - 3] / [1-cos(x)]

4. csc(x) / [sin(x)-1] = [csc(x)-1] / cos^2(x)

try these on for size:

>linear regression model
>heteroscedasticity;
>serial correlation;
>SURE model;
>the linear simultaneous equation model;
>identification;
>instrumental variable estimation;
>reduced-form estimation;
>diagnostic testing;
>time-series models;
>nonstationary models;
>cointegration;
>VAR processes;
>logit and probit analysis.

I could go on...

hello, I was eating lunch.

here is what I have been saying the entire time:

It does not make you a fool to argue that there is no conciousness after death. I never said what my opinions were, you assumed them.

The biggest fool of all is the one who argues against neither, and both, because it's a waste of everyone's time.

Hey guys the the /sci/ page seems more appropiate than /adv/.
I decided to take a conjoint degree in Science and Commerce at uni next year. The problem now is what to major in. I'll probably take a major in economics for my commerce degree but I'm in a pickle deciding on what major to take for my science degree. I'm leaning towards something in the biology department but I'm still open to suggestions in both physics and chemistry. I'm really unsure about the career opportunities. The idea of being a researcher does't really appeal to me but thats the only possible career path that I can think off if I go along with that degree, which is why I wanted to take a commerce degree aswell for a back up.
thanks in advance
