well if its acceleration due to gravity, then gravity is always pulling downwards.
up is the positive direction, so this means gravity is acceleration in the negative direction.

an object falling downwards is accelerating and speeding up due to gravity, and object moving upwards is slowing down. the acceleration is still negative in both cases.

erm, yes it works.
but the easier way is just to take into account the end values.

(10+1)/2 = 5.5 (because on the 1 to 10 die, the lowest you can get is 1, and the highest is 10, and everything in between is equally spaced out)

for the 6 sided die thrown wice, the lowest you can get is 2, (double 1's) and the highest is 12 (double sixes)

so (2+12)/2 = 7
so its a 7 average.

well an average healthy person can walk at about 4mph, so if we presume a constant pace, that is 96 miles (24X4...there are 24 hours in a day, usee?)

so what is the circumference of the earth?
wiki says it is [40,075.16km] which is ~24901 miles
so now we have a simple division to do, and whatever the number is, this is how much we must scale the person up by.
24901/96 = ~259
so if the average person is about 6 foot tall, a person will need to be ^X259 feet tall, to walk around earth in 1 day
so they would be ~1556 feet tall.

nope. equally intelligent
its to be expected really, the only genetic difference between men and women is you guys get a Y chromosome, wheras women have an extra X chromosome, we are equally likely to inherit any reshuffling of the other 22 pairs of chromosomes.
and seeing as the Y chromosome doesn't contain genes for intelligence (it basically codes for 'make human male' so it contains all the information to grow a penis, testes, more testosterone etc) no gender has an intellectual advantage over the other, genetically.
