It makes me a little sad to think about some distant descendant watching the last star wink out, and waiting for it's reserve power to go out, then the last self organising complex beings huddling together in the darkness waiting not just for death, but perfect Oblivion, where they won't even be able to recombinate into life, or anything, as the atoms of their computers dissipate into radiation. Our super advanced future selves if we ever make it there have the worst fate.

Why don't we just nuke these hurricanes?

You could easily stop these hurricanes from hitting land by cooking them off.

Resident here
>Sucks
Long hours of study/work (varies between specialties)
It's full of egocentric people
It's full of people who only parrot what they read whiteout understanding the core of what they say
By the time you start gaining decent money all your friends already have families, a businesses or their own place
People who think they can know as much as you do after a night of Wikipedia
People who think throwing money in the last second can save their/someone's life
Every single lawyer turning into a vulture around you
Needing a third party in the room to be able to do your job (treat a woman), or risk being sued into oblivion (male exclusive)

>Great
Say what you want, there is no better feeling than seeing someone who was about to die be with their families or the face of joy of a newly mother who sees her newborn for the first time
Most people treat you nice and respect you even if you don't really deserve it
Good money

This year I have to make a very important decision in my life. Next year I am going to university and I need to choose a Bachelor study.

I've gotten down to 3 options.

-Chemical Engineering
-Chemical laboratory sciences
-Mechanical Engineering
-Electrical Engineering
-Mechatronics
-Biological / medical laboratory sciences

Which of these three are best when it comes to:

a) International job prospects
b) Salary
c) Job prospects in the future (which has the least chance of being automated, etc)
b) Health (I.e. I don't want to work in nuclear facilities, coal energy plants, paint-producing factories, gigantic industrial facilities, work with very dangerous substances, that kind of stuff.)
d) Not too stressful.

Thanks in advance for helping me my dearest /sci/ intellectuals.

OP, I was a smoker for 7 years and had many failed attemps to quit before leaving it for reals

You just have to realize that it's just your brain trolling you

Think about it, you can even sleep 12 hours without waking up because you need a cigarette - but if you were to need to take a crap or if you were hungry enough, you'd wake up.

The craving is not even real and will go away after a few minutes if you can distract your mind and just stop thinking about smoking

And then day after day it gets better because you won't get this feel as frequently and after some time it disappears

Can there exist anything that has no energy? If not, then where/what is the energy that allows for the existence of our sensorium? Is it just spread out all over the brain as electrochemically stored energy? How is that energy so precisely pieced together for the observer that, for example, the visual field appears as a completely uniform entity?
Surely our consciousness is contained in the universe?

Are there any scientific professions that actually require vast amounts of spacial intellect, yet very little mathematical skill, such as basic calculus or below? It seems anything requiring spacial intellect is either secondary, to or at least, in equal parts with rigorous math.

Sorry for the dumb question...

Why is 15%6 = 6?

is it because 15 is divisible by 6 zero times, then there are 6 left over after that zero?

This isn't even the maximum of what the human brain is capable of. It must be possible to engineer any intact brain through genetic means to be at least this intelligent.

Eugenics when?
