It doesn't make sense being a conservative scientist, since conservatism is accepting dogma, accepting the status quo, accepting traditions and science is all about breaking traditions, seeing the truth behind the world, going as far away as possible from dogma and the status quo.

It's like being part of organized religion and being a scientist, it's too contradictory.
