Excuse me I'd like a clarification on what is considered baby math please. Is this pic accurate? I have seen in other pics linear algebra being on same level or more baby than calculus. What is the respectable level? What this pic says?

Conceptually, Calc 2 is no harder than Calc 1. What makes C2 "harder" is that it is all about problems that require hard-to-spot tricks and clever solutions. Even then, most problems in the curriculum of C2 are just the relatively simple methods (u-sub, series tests) with occasional twists. If a person bombs C2, it usually means that C2 is their math first class where they work with tricky, non-straightforward problems that they were not prepared for.

How exactly does one solve one time pad descryption? Isn't the point of OTP encryption to literally prevent any form of decrypting?

And what even is poly dimensional topology?

I just finished my second year of college, going into my third year and I'm starting to doubt myself about getting a degree in math.

All my friends with "lesser" majors like nursing or chem always tell me that my life is going to be easy and I'll make a lot of money but truth be told I have no earthly idea what kind of a job a math degree gets me.

And I'm talking about a pure math degree so no finance or engineering type stuff.

Functions are most certainly babby tier mathematics, I don't know where this "hardcore" impression comes from.
