Alright, /sci/, I've got a problem and I think you guys can help me. I am really interested in science / physics, fascinated by space, love science documentaries (not the sci-fi shit but real science), but unfortunately I am not very smart when it comes to these subjects. I need to write an essay about the following:

How did the 19th century scientists change the perception of the nature of organic chemistry.
What were the problems the scientists experienced and how did they overcome said problems
What kind of parallels can be drawn between the work of the scientists during the 19th century and nowadays.

I was wondering if you guys could give me some topics / people to write about, I would greatly appreciate it.
