What are careers that are purely mathematically based?

Most careers I see are things that involve other fields like engineering.

Why is Uranium illegal to posses?
Is it legal in Nigeria?
Are other heavier elements, in terms of atomic number, also often illegal?

What can an underagb& do to increase my level of success once I get to university?

I'm in high school and my greatest interest is astronomy. On top of this, I will also probably need to major in physics

Now, I'm really young, and I don't understand subjects like Calculus, I will take that course later in my high school career.

Now my question is, how could I possibly educate myself without actually taking courses? I'm not sure if what I'm doing is the most.

I'm reading some Kaku and Hawking and other pop-science books. I'm also trolling around in the astronomy & physics sections of Yahoo Answers, not implying that that helps. Is that the most I can do for my young age now?

I'm looking for some low level and easier things to do...I don't intend to do something that will invest my time 16 hours a day during this summer. I'm looking for something that I can work on maybe like half an hour a day just to be a bit more successful when I get into later mathematics & astronomy.

Thanks.
