The only people who post in those math bait threads are non-math people.

The only way to bait math people effectively is by either posting something incorrect/false or by seriously entertaining contentious and highly technical issues in mathematical philosophy from the early to mid 1900s (Wildberger). Pic related doesn't even get a response from mathfags.

Effectively your saying that lower standards in mathematics allow you to handwave more and do less work. Effectively making the work easier by virtue of not being expected to show details.

I argue that while that does make the work easier it is only a superficial difference with no real meaning. In fact, I often feel it isn't justified to even call such work mathematics (I'm aware I'm in disagreement with the majority of practicing mathematicians).

What category are you working in? What sorts of morphisms are you using?

I hope you aren't merely attempting (and failing) to use a poor understanding of algebra to make a category theory diagram. That would be very embarrassing for you.

The picture is obviously referring to mainstream "science culture", as in the shit the public does after getting some dumbed down pop-science explanation of a concept. I think we can all agree that this is a social construct in the sense that it's a cultural phenomenon with no objective justification. I say his not only because pop-science is not only incorrect 99% of the time but because saying "I read a blog post about it" is not a justification for pushing an entire ideology (though it is a justification for wanting to learn more about it).

I've read many papers and books that use "she". I've never really given it further thought.

I remember reading a text recently that used "xe" instead of he or she. I don't remember what it was but I don't remember it being weird or annoying, it worked surprisingly well.

The weirdest thing I've seen however has got to be the convention used in Michael Spivak's Joy of TeX. Pic related.
