PLEASE show me the modern Theoretical Physicist that has ZERO background in math.

Dude, I am simple Aerospace Engineer and even I have BS is Mathematics... Theoretical Physicists and Mathematicians are almost indistinguishable.

I really want to stop being a mathlet but finding zero practical use cases for it I'm unable to pursue any advanced studies seriously.
I'm a low level C++ system programmer and - outside of 2D geometry - the most complex thing I remember using is fast fourier transform to pitch shift an audio signal without changing its frequency.
Machine learning is interesting but unless you're building bespoke software, relying on APIs like TensorFlow or PyTorch is mostly about setting the right input/outputs, spamming layer upon layer and that's it.
I'm starting to feel like hardcore math really is pointless.
