I feel you OP.

>Be in 500 level stats course, expecting some serious fucking rigor.
>Spend three weeks to cover basic set theory (union, intersection, etc), venn diagrams, expected value, hypergeometric distribution, and binomial distribution
>Have yet to see a proof for anything

So i'm thinking of dropping my calculus 1 class before the deadline. This'll be the second time that I drop the course as I tried to take it this summer but I got lost completely in limits. I've taken two years of Physics (last year being my basics, this year mechanical) What should I do /sci/? I wanted to go into computer engineering but I just don't think i'm going to be able to tackle calculus for a while. Its just so draining.

Oh god I just went over to /x/ and read the responses. This one especially:

>I see where you're going with this, but I don't think that hypothesis would support 'ghosts' so much as it would...'disturbances.'

>I've put a little bit of thought into it, myself and here's what I came up with:

>It has been shown that all living things have an electromagnetic field around them.
>Brainwaves, essentially the physical representation of consciousness, are electric...sort of.
>Earth has an electromagnetic field that we exist inside of.
>Extreme emotional distress causes increased brain activity.

>So, it's plausible that if someone were to die in a traumatic way or if there were simply enough deaths in the same area they might 'imprint' a portion of their psyche in the Earth's electromagnetic field. This would explain things like voices being picked up on recording equipment, people 'feeling' the presence of these 'ghosts', that sort of thing.

>Basically, Earth's field is like a HDD and a traumatic death might scramble the data in one spot for a bit.

If you want some rage for breakfast go and argue with these plebs.
