Anyone else find probability really interesting but statistics extremely boring? Probability effortlessly describes the truth of this world (SDEs) whereas statistics is boring number crunching (referring to "applied statistics" i.e. not "mathematical statistics") also I have a bad taste in my mouth from machine learning because when i think of machine learning i think of weird chinese college kids and jews like sam altman anyone else have this preconception
