I enjoy talking about all this, but I frankly don't think immortality, uploading, molecular assemblers etc. will happen in my lifetime. I'm afraid to believe they will, even in old age, because I don't know to what extent I'm being deluded by biases. And I can't know, because understanding the brain from the inside is like trying to taste your tongue. So I will just say it won't happen in my lifetime, but work towards it.

And the furries? Probably never. Not even with awesome transhumanism. Plus, I'd very much rather attach to the ascetic virtues of a glorious posthuman than... Ugh.
