Studying astrophysics.
I moved to various different countries when I was a kid so I didn't get a lot of communication, math was my time to shine in school though. it's the same in every language. around that time my mom was getting her master's in atmospheric sciences. she was doing a presentation for air pollution and she told me that apart from it being bad, we do get pretty sunsets from it. that just amazed me. she also said it's one of the reasons we don't see stars at night in the cities, so she took me to the desert. I'm gonna cry now.

As a girl studying astrophysics, I must say I haven't gotten any hate so far as far as the field itself is concerned. I've only gotten hate from guys who find me attractive and don't realize I like my field and it requires a lot of my time and attention. There's a lot of girls who hate me though, that bothers me a bit. Good thing I don't have to interact with people much.

geometrically, because of the symmetry in the x-direction, it's considered a periodic function yes?
Why do you think the one with the rational indicator is a better example though? The constant function seems easier to understand..
