Yes, even if you didn't have any to begin with.

1: Unknown. Strike strength varies. Some people have been directly hit and lived (with burns and other things not deemed bad because he didn't died)
2: The voltage drop across your body can force enough current through you to do nasty things. Where you get the shock can be important. A high current shock between your right hand and feet might not kill you when a weak shock from hand to hand would.

Nope. You die. The problem isn't the strike itself, but as the current from the strike spread out from the initial strike you get voltage drops, just like you do on a resistor. With enough current, you can have a very wicked voltage drop occurring over a few inches. You're not touching ground so you don't get the full voltage, but you're getting enough. Even your telephone idea would get you some voltage between any two point you connect with.

I know I'm in a trolling thread, but this is too good to pass up. Just for giggles.
Lack of evidence isn't proof of something else. Even if the universe didn't form the way science has claimed or has been proven wrong somehow, that doesn't mean the default is "god did it". To prove "god did it" you actually have to prove god. Not to put a too fine of a point on it, god may have done it, but without proof of god, you still have no proof of god.

Not to get too technical, but if you put the LED's in series, the input voltage has to increase. LED's aren't voltage devices like a regular light bulb, they require a current. The voltage across the LED's will change very little as you vary the current. Normally you'd want to use a transformer to "knock" the 120V down to something less, like 12V. A resistor for use on 12V would be 600 ohms at 0.25 watts. With 120V the resistor would be 6000 ohms at 2.4 watts. The 0.25 watt resistor would run cooler and be cheaper, plus the transformer would isolate the dangerous mains voltage.

Well, Allah /is/ the Christian god. There's no denying that. Of course, that doesn't matter since god doesn't even exist.

I've thought about something like this before, but my idea was to use the heat from the current in a strike to heat up a pile of carbon. Pumping a non-conductive fluid (shock hazard) through the carbon pile to heat water to run a generator/turbine.

Can we post links? Every time I try 4Chan thinks it's spam. Either way, google for "free-electricity-from-air". First link should be for antenna-handbook.blogspot

The next time I get a cold, I'm going to register myself as a mass murderer. You see, it's simple to quote mine for data and present it as the primary motive force. The fact that a bunch of cells might bear a relationship to a human being is merely our interpretation of our surroundings. The same graphic could replace "fetus" with "cancer cells" and still be valid.

Don't have a purpose in life. It only makes life boring and not worth living. The goal in life is to live until you die. A purpose only makes you rush to the finish line.

Let me try.
Let's say there's a star 1 light year away from Earth. There's an observer looking at this star when for some odd reason it flashes once with a blue light. The observer says it took 1 year for that light to hit his retina.
Now imagine there's a sentient blue photon in that star. When it breaks away from the surface, it zooms across the universe and slams into the retina of some observer on Earth. The blue photon says the trip was instantaneous.

You guize don't know how to troll a troll.
Let's say you're looking at a star that's 1 LY away. For a brief moment you notice if harmlessly flashed blue. You say to yourself that it took that blue light 1 year to hit your retina.
Now imagine you're that blue photon. You zip away from the star at the speed of light. You thread your way across the cosmos to strike the retina of some guy on planet Earth. As the blue photon, you realize the trip was instantaneous.

To put it simply, each transistor has the ability to suck power away from the others base. When power is first turned on, it's a race for one transistor to turn on the fastest, thereby shunting the base of the other transistor to ground and removing its ability to turn on.

That's it. Squash a crystal gently between two conductors. That's how it was done in the old days. Now they sputter a metal film over the crystal.
