Okay another problem:
xdx/(4+x^4)
Rules: Must not use integration by parts:
(4+x^4)=t
x=(t-4)^(1/4)
dx=dt/4(t-4)^(3/4)
...
...
...
(sqrt(t-4))dt/4t, assuming 1/4 is out of the integral=> sqrt(t-4)dt/t.

Now what?

Hey guys, I have a really really dumb question about integrals. I know that dx/x = ln |x|, why is that though?

>> No.4272745 [View]

hmm, right...another quick question: I've reached the previous form and split the integrals, all easy and such, and in the end got

x^2/2-x+ln |x+1| + c

wolfram, however, adds another 3/2 in the end...why is that?

Thanks anon! Really didn't think about the good ol' +1-1 workaround, used it alot in limit calculation and didn't spring to mind here.

Hey guys, I derped and missed the first integration practice of my basic calculus course.

I know how to integrate by parts, but in the homework we are asked to solve the basic integrals without that or substitution, so, I have no idea.

integrate x^2dx/(1+x)

thanks in advance guys!

look up a uni's course catalog, read the course description, then find books that cover that material

I go to some shitty CC where the IT guys are dumb and I used WMIC to check the users on every computer on campus, and I also came upon hundreds of student ID/passwords meaning I could add/drop classes for random students and cause tons of grief.

Like I said... it's all a waste of time unless you have a particular goal in mind.

you're better off on /g/

just google "windows console commands"

there's nothing that cool/interesting you can do unless you have a particular interest in mind

you can type in "ftp" to use the built-in ftp program

wmic, netstat, make batch scripts...

Given the partial pressures and concentrations for the reactants and products below, answer questions 1 - 3.

           2 HF (g)      +      C2O42- (aq)   D     2 F- (aq)     +      H2C2O4 (aq)

            P(HF) = 0.7034 atm                            [F-] = 0.993 M

            [C2O42-] = 0.0809 M                            [H2C2O4] = 0.9873 M

What are some websites that you'd recommend for middle school students?

I need some sites (or books) to give to my little brother to get him more interested in science and learning instead of video games

Going to link him to "Charlieissocoollike"'s youtube channel for some casual interesting science as a start

It is because they aren't intelligent themselves. I wouldn't consider myself smart by some means. Though I've had what you could call a knack for math and science since elementary school.

That being said, intelligence is up there with looks with me. Yes, we are all shallow and people who say looks don't matter are kidding themselves. What we find as good looking is an opinion though. To me, intelligence turns me on like no other. If a man can out smart me, that turns me on. Reading, doing equations, being philosophical... all turns me on.

So, I suppose try to find a woman with both looks and intelligence and chances are your smarts will win her over.

Wait, we are on 4chan. Just be smart enough to get her in a corner to rape her. That's about it.

I disected a live bird with a broken wing under my backyard tree as a kid. (thing squirmed tons but never made a sound)

also built countless forts (and snowforts), sports stuff( homemade soccer goals, homemade hockysticks ect...), and built weaps/wooden tools (spear, wooden sword, stone hammer, functioning bow with twigs n willowtree vines) and dissassembled/reassembled all my bikes.

I just assumed thats what childhood was like for everyone

also legos, legos everywere
