laymen here
i know gravity and mass are correlated. the more mass something has the grater it's gravity. i also know that as an object reaches relativistic speeds it's inherent "mass" also increases, at least in theory.

so, for a while, i thought if you moved something fast enough it would exert greater gravity than it would while at rest. i did some quick reading and, as i understand it, the "mass" gained from speed is only inherit to the object itself. all outside measurements would show that the object's original mass and gravity no matter its speed (below c?).

do i understand this correctly or does change in speed actually affect gravity?

the copernican principle, there is no reason to image the homogeneity of the universe stops at the edge of the observable universe.

"Almost surely" is more accurate, as to whether life exists outside earth. There's a non-zero chance it doesn't.

> What's outside of the universe?

Question does not make sense, universe is defined as everything that exists.

>At first it was nothing...but what was around it?

Inflation cosmology says nothing about "nothing", it just goes back to a time where the universe was much denser. Contextualize your question.

>Then what is around it today?

Why would there be something around the universe that is not the universe?

>Does that make your head hurt?

No.

>> No.2953951 [View]

if the universe is infinite the answer is "almost surely."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almost_surely

as >>2953844 said, we don't know if the universe is infinite or not. with the flatness of space, it's just pretty much assumed.

"Albert Einstein's theory of relativity shows that gravity and veolicty impact on time."

An interesting read..
