>In 1980, he transmuted several thousand atoms of bismuth into gold at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory.[21] His experimental technique, using nuclear physics, was able to remove protons and neutrons from the bismuth atoms. Seaborg's technique would have been far too expensive to enable routine manufacturing of gold, but his work is the closest to the mythical Philosopher's Stone.

Cool!

Alchemy is badassary in disguise.

But wouldn't we need "quantum-nano technologies" to construct any atom we want?

You guys, the "stamp collecting" saying refers to people just learning previous information/rules and not comming up with new stuff.

I want to convert numbers between 1 & 999999 so recursion seems the most efficient, i'll see if i can implement it now.

What was it, mate?

I think there's gotta be a connection between the value of the base 10 number and the length of the base 2i number, but cus of how you convert them i'm just not sure..

/sci/clones, I'm writting a function to convert base 10 to base 2i. I'm having trouble thinking of a way to gauge the size of the new number (length).

Anyone ever done anything like this before?
