This, very much this.

Unfortunately, outside of scientific and wannabe scientific community there are very few people actually caring about it.

Sup guise.

How did your homework go? Effin 100% here. Surprised a bit, to be honest, as all the quizzes were around 70%, but homework was much easier.

I'm just about to watch the next series for this week. How do you like it so far?

As for db and ml classes, how do you like them? No assignments due 'till november for db-class.

Not sure why everybody here is so condescending about medicine. Shit's quite a bit of data, yo.

Gonna go to sleep and I'll read a bit about it tomorrow. Still sounds horribly inefficient.

Homework is like quizes in existence in regular course, it's just that it's graded. Don't worry, it should be easy to pass, albeit a bit more challenging for folks that want 100% at the end of the course.

>>3893926
Advanced course has graded homework assignments.

Tree search they are describing includes going up and down the tree, which means (if I understand correctly) that you are liable to waste time going paths you already went.

Just tell them the guy proved that warp drive like that in movies is possible. Make it familiar to them.

Solution is valid. Just needs the energy of ten thousand suns.

Heya guise. I was sick past few days so this thread is few hours late.

Have you watched Unit 1? Thoughts?
Personally, I was hoping for paint + camtasia kind of lessons, but paper in front of camera is quite fine too. Quiz bugs are gone for me, although unfortunately leaving me with a 80% quiz success rate. Thanks bugs.

Just started unit 2, any CS fags here, I'd be delighted if you could explain me the tree search - from what they said, it sounds disgustingly inefficient.

db-class is up and running although I didn't start with the videos yet.

Open up, questions, answers, comments, it's an official 4chan Stanford 2011 thread.

Super easy, at least the first few videos. AI is same, if not a tad bit more challenging.

The next unit is scheduled next week. No idea when they'll upload it.
Site is buggy as shit, especially the quiz after video part, some people still have trouble logging in.

In all honesty, how is medicine overrated?
You perhaps argue that it's pure memorization, but I fail to see how knowing every single known thing about human body is overrated.

FTFY. No.
I am however curious how do I compare to 150k other people worldwide. You should be as well.

Appreciated.

First week is quite easy, I assume it'll start getting quite harder as we progress deeper into math of it.

Quizzes and assignments which eventually earn you some sort of letter of approval signed by Norvig and Thurn + your rank in sea of 150k students. If you wanna learn, no need to sign up. If you like challenge, do eet.

Anyways, I have to google about checkers, no idea what kind of game it is and it is required to do the quiz. It has begun.

I hope they fix the quiz system, it's quite buggy when I use it.

Login to ai-class and watch it.

db-class has all of the videos up for quite a while.

>> No.3873801 [View]

Sup niggaz. I'll make a thread tonight about this shit.

All of you who want to sign up, there are 3 classes:
ai-class.com - AI
db-class.com - Databases
ml-class.com - Machine Learning

Study groups will be on sci, most likely on Wednesdays and Fridays.

For Intro to AI - linear algebra is a huge plus for advanced program although I hear you could be able to pass with little knowledge of it. I recommend you watch all the KhanAcademy videos listed on the site.

Asses are to be kicked here, comrades.

No need for fighter pilot thing. You can be an astronaut without it, as it is only required for the commander position. PhD in physics or math would be a huge benefit.

Personally, as I don't have access to a any sort of decent Uni, I'll most likely settle with MD, hopefully get into aerospace medicine grad school in USA and stay to work on research.
