CS is just software dev for people who are insecure about their intelligence, and prefer coding in C/C++/C#/Java because it looks more complex than python and makes them feel like a hacker. The actual meat of it, which is studying computation, is something none of them are interested in, they just want to hack for the nsa and make furry porn games

Am I a retarded brainlet or do I need to stop being a bitch and try harder? I've done math up to calc 2 and didn't find it particularly difficult, but now I'm studying mech eng and I can't seem to get any of it. And it's only week 1. I have basically no knowledge of physics and they're throwing out physics concepts and it's confusing the heck out of me.

95m/s/80m/s = 1.1875
2500/1.1875 = 2105.263
2500-2105.263=394.737
394.737/2=197.368
197.368/1.1875=166.205
197.368-166.205=31.163
31.163/2=15.582
.....
1.230/1.1875=1.036
1.230-1.036=0.194 (the difference is now negligible)

2500+197.369+15.582+1.230= 2714.180274

I guess in calculus you probably learn how to turn this into a single equation accounting for the infinite case. Anyway, that's what I figured out starting from 0 and I'm proud of myself.

So how did you excel in Linear Algebra? I whizzed past Calculus II and it came super easy (as it should, as I've been told here) but Linear Algebra has been giving me struggles. My quiz average right now is 83% whereas my Calculus 2 quizzes averaged 98%.

Start a b.eng degree in less than 4 days and I can barely remember anything related to trig, i numbers, logs, or calculus.

I'm a fucking brainlet. I spent most of my time in school focusing on things like literature, philosophy and history, and now that I'm in uni I'm starting to notice how bad I actually am at math. Which platform does /sci/ recommend for reiterating basic and more advanced things? Is there even any platform? Or am I fucked for life?
