i'd want something really aerodynamic and streamlined so i could cut through interplanetary space at thousand of times the speed of light without using too much antimatter fuel.

also, i'd want a lot of short range missile type weapons so any combat with other ships would be up-close and dramatic.

ironically enough, there is quite a lot of shit in space hitting you when you start going fast enough. Aerodynamic shapes actually make sense in exploration (Gas clouds, etc.) and at fast sublight speed.
