Very nice... The flag objectively sucks... I concede. Don't give a damn.

Right... So what I'm trying to do right now is get a nice flock of well educated/successful/talented individuals, and find a balance between reasonably expected activity and degree of expertise.

Right now the nation has around 300-250,000 applications for citizenship it's sifting through. I'm going to need people who can stay active and represent us well, but I'm also going to need legitimately skilled individuals that can be consulted when the government needs an opinion quickly.

I'm about to start an MSc in Genetics and I consider myself well endowed in environmental studies and Asian Political Economics but that isn't shit compared to what is needed to run a country. I've only received a handful of applications... I want to hire competent people, but first I need the people. If I'm running non-profit, I might only be able to provide interested parties with payment on a case by case basis... Depending on the degree of involvement the government requests at a later date I'm going to need people to fund raise in the background. To help run clerical shit. I want to one day establish museums and it's probably not gonna be easy to do alone.

Or would you rather measure in airwatts?

I should have expected as much from a bunch of plebs in their basements. I know there needs to be some people interested in contributed to something bigger than themselves on this board.

I'm calling this group the Liberland Scientific Committee, I intend to start taking donations to establish it as a non-profit... then spend every dollar towards successfully establishing a working education program in the country.

Hello /sci/, my name is Theo and I'm looking to start a new scientific committee to represent the interests of a new micronation known as Liberland.

In this thread I would like to discuss the ramifications of establishing new scientific bodies, and I would like to invite readers to the project.

Liberland is a brand new nation that was created a few months ago on no mans land between the Serbian and Croatian border. Wikipedia has a good page describing the nation that is larger than both Vatican City and Monaco. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberland

We are currently looking for scientists from around the world with an interest in helping to set up an oversight group for the nation's first scientific committee.
The group that we put together will turn into something that acts as a scientific body for the nation. Promoting STEM education, and helping the government to make educated decisions regarding the development of environmental policy and technological pursuits would be our primary activities. Helping the nation to gain a reputation as a bastion of logic, collaboration, interest, and discovery would be important for bolstering Liberland's reputation internationally.

If you are interested in applying to this committee please contact Liberland_Science@outlook.com

In the meantime I'd like to discuss development. Even if you aren't interested in assisting. How does one go about shaping an effective scientific oversight committee?

You're right I did. I guess I was assuming the general population would know what most high school students would be expected to do in a typical lab. I guess I figured 4chan users graduated high school.

I have been given the assignment of stocking a high school science lab closet for a class I am in. I have an unlimited budget. Being realistic, what would be things I would need to have? Obviously a class set of microscopes, prepared slides, etc, but what are some obvious things I may be missing, or some cool stuff to just have?

you only have to insert psi into the schrödinger equation and show that both sides are equal. this is the general method how you can determine/show that a function is a solution for a specific differential equation.

it all starts when a cold night a man called maxwell picks up all the laws related to electromagnetism and make the well known maxwell equations(he didn't create all of them nor the theory behind them). Working a little on those equations you can find the diferential operator of waves, which solving it describes waves that moves in a media with a certain velocity:
