you should be more subtle and cultivate the troll over a longer series of posts. that's how it gains real staying power instead a short burst of posts then a fizzle

there is nothing necessarily spiritual about meditation

this conversation has been had a million times; everyone knows what sage is and how it is pronounced. colloquially, saging is entirely acceptable on 4chan and has been established by longstanding common use as a legitimate term in an of itself. moot himself has used it as well as other derivatives like "saged," so there is in fact precedent for its use in this way (see the rules page, archived Q&A threads with moot, and the FAQ page)

also, when people explicitly draw attention to the fact that they have saged a thread it is meant less as a downvote and more as a protest as to the content of the thread, or as a sign of disrespect unless it is noted as a polite sage (like you did), or a reason is given (which the person you responded to gave)

compare these three scenarios:

>making an off topic post and politely saging [>>6210054],
>replying to a thread that is not related to the board topic, but that you still want to contribute to, and politely saging (as in [>>6209555], [>>6210118])
>"you are a fucking idiot for thinking x, y, and z. sage this shit" (to underline or add emphasis to someone's dislike, or as an insult/disrespectful gesture)
>empty post with nothing but a sage (a sage in protest)

anyone doing a lot of writing/typing/mouse manipulation etc may be at risk for repetitive strain injury, carpal tunnel is probably unlikely.

make sure your wrist and arm are in a comfortable position and don't hold your pen or pencil with too tight a grip. if your hand is sore it's normal, if there is pain that prevents you from writing it is not normal and you should let your hand rest. I would say it's virtually impossible for you to do permanent damage solely by drilling kanji, unless your hand does start hurting and you keep writing at such a high volume over a very long period of time

How often do language translations get in the way of properly conveying science between different nations.

Science is hard to read, so being a translator must suck. I bet there are tons of mistakes all the time in the science community and it requires years of dedication not to get discouraged by all the bullshit.

Does anyone have proof of this? That would be fucking hilarious. He was probably busy with 'real science' and thought showing his over-dressed ass in a giant auditorium was such a big fucking honor for them, that he didn't actually need to teach anything.
